Katharine grew up in Palo Alto, California and Hsinchu, Taiwan and is currently pursuing her MFA in acting at The New School for Drama in New York City.

Katharine has performed with a number of Bay Area theatre companies including Magic Theatre, Encore Theatre Company, Z Space, Killing My Lobster, New Conservatory Theatre Center, and TheatreWorks.

She originated roles in new plays by Lauren Yee (Yoonji in Hookman) as well as Penelope Skinner's U.S. premiere of Fred's Diner at Magic Theatre in San Francisco, where she played Mel.

From 2014 - 2016, Katharine was a member of the San Francisco Neo-Futurists, where she wrote and performed in their ongoing show Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind. She is also an alumni of Oakland's Ubuntu Theater Project. Katharine is a 2016 Monarch Leadership Award recipient from the Pacific Asian American Women Bay Area Coalition (PAAWBAC).

When she's not busy making theatre, you'll find her knitting sweaters or goofing off with her husband and their dog.
